Panther Nation 

Panther Nation is an Orlando/Kissimmee based team that has been competing in the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament since 2014.  It initially started with only 12 members, but by 2016 those numbers more than doubled to almost 40 members- not including coaches, guests, and "Jr Panthers". Interestingly, Panther Nation is the only team to boast a demographic of Non-Muslims. In fact, 2017 will be the first year that team is composed of more Non-Muslim students than Muslims. It's profound to think that a tournament created mainly for and by Muslim youth would attract so many students of different faiths and backgrounds to learn about Islam and have fun in the MIST environment. Because of this factor, Panther Nation prides itself on diversity and finds beauty and strength in all of its eclectic members. Each year the team grows stronger and solidifies its identity. We may be from different places in the world, but we're all Panther Nation. Different Nations, Same Claws. Thank you to all of the members who participated in our team over the years, the coaches who supported and inspired us, and most importantly, thank you to MIST for being so welcoming and bringing us the opportunity to grow as individuals.
